BusinessWeek Journalist Makes I.D. Magazine's List of the Forty Most Influential People in Design
NEW YORK, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ — BusinessWeek's editorial page editor, Bruce Nussbaum, has been honored with a place on the "I.D. Forty," which is the International Design magazine's list of the forty most influential people in the world of design.
In order to compile the list, I.D. magazine asked 800 experts to name respected authorities, proponents and trendsetters in design-people who have made a lasting impact or who promise to shape the future. Bruce Nussbaum made the list at No. 34. I.D. cited his "straightforward, industry outsider approach to design," and his appreciation of the increasing importance of design to corporate America.
From his first cover story on design in 1988 "Smart Design," to his 2004 cover story "The Power of Design," Nussbaum has written more than 50 articles on the subject from both the consumer and business perspectives. In addition, he commissioned the November 29, 2004 cover story "Samsung Design" for BusinessWeek's international edition. He analyzes the prestigious Industrial Design Excellence Awards and the BusinessWeek/Architectural Record AIA Awards for the magazine and has been honored with the Bronze Apple and the Personal Recognition Award from the Industrial Designers Society of America.
